1. Acceptance and eligibility
By downloading, accessing or using HouseOps, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use HouseOps. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use HouseOps for a business or client, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
2. What HouseOps provides
HouseOps is a documentation, labeling, maintenance and procedure tool for home systems. It can store records locally, connect records to photographs, schedule local reminders, prepare print materials and export portable passport files.
HouseOps is not an emergency service, monitoring system, inspection service, code-compliance service or substitute for a qualified professional. It does not operate equipment or confirm that a label, reading, instruction or installation is correct or current.
3. License and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms and applicable store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use HouseOps for lawful documentation and maintenance purposes.
You may not misuse HouseOps, interfere with its security, reverse engineer it except where law expressly permits, redistribute the application, use it to infringe another person’s rights, or present HouseOps output as an official inspection or compliance certificate unless separately authorized by the competent authority.
4. Your content, permissions and backups
You retain rights in the photos, documents, text and other content you add. You are responsible for having permission to photograph, document, export and share a property and for protecting confidential or personal information in that content.
The current core passport is stored locally. You are responsible for maintaining suitable backups. A HouseOps handoff or export is a snapshot, not live synchronization. Editing one copy does not update another copy. Deleting data from HouseOps does not delete files you previously exported, printed or sent.
We may provide demo or template content for illustration. Verify all labels, limits, intervals and procedures against the actual property, physical markings and manufacturer documentation before relying on them.
5. Professional and client use
If you prepare a passport for a client, you are responsible for obtaining any required consent, accurately describing the scope of your work and review, and avoiding misleading claims about verification or compliance. HouseOps does not become a party to your agreement with the client and does not guarantee your work.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Some features may require HouseOps Pro. Prices, billing period, included features and any trial are shown by the Apple App Store or Google Play before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the applicable store before renewal. The store’s terms govern payment, cancellation, refund and taxes.
Restore Purchases is available in HouseOps. Ending a subscription may remove access to paid creation or productivity features, but it will not intentionally prevent you from reading your existing local passport or creating a personal backup.
7. Updates, availability and termination
We may modify, improve or discontinue features, release updates, or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, law or misuse. Mobile operating systems, stores and third-party services can affect availability. We do not promise that every feature will remain compatible with every device indefinitely.
You may stop using HouseOps at any time. Deleting the app does not cancel a store subscription; manage it through your store account.
8. Safety and high-risk systems
You are responsible for deciding whether a procedure is safe and suitable for the actual conditions. Read the complete HouseOps Safety Notice.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HouseOps is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, data preservation, code compliance or safety. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HouseOps and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profit, property damage or personal injury arising from reliance on user-entered content, labels, procedures, alerts or exported copies. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Third-party services and store terms
HouseOps may rely on the Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, PostHog, operating-system notifications and device sharing tools. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to their services. If you downloaded HouseOps from Apple, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the extent required and supplements these Terms.
12. Changes and severability
We may update these Terms as HouseOps changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. If a material change requires notice, we will provide it in the app or through another reasonable channel. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
